A growing burden across the UK
Within its report, the Work Foundation looks at the significant socioeconomic costs attributable to migraine. Both direct and indirect costs are felt by all sections of society in the UK including, the health system, government, employers, people with migraine and those related to them. In Figure 6 and Figure 7 below you can see how greatly emergency admissions for migraine have risen where you live, representing the rising personal and economic burden of the condition.
